Getting 'Error Loading Media: File Could not be Played' Error When Playing a Video

Published:
1 min read

When playing a video file, you will see an error 'Error loading media: File could not be played' as shown below. This is most likely because the file is corrupted during upload or partially uploaded or the video file format cannot be played by the HTML5 video player.

We recommend converting the video file to your local computer using tools like HandBrake or AnyVideoConvertor

If MP4 format is giving you issues, try WEBM format and see it helps.

We support the following file extensions:

  • Video: mp4, m4v, f4v, flv, webm (Max file size up to 1GB)
  • Audio: aac, m4a, f4a, mp3, ogg, oga (Max file size up to 100MB)
