How to Enable and Configure Recommended Courses & Set the Default Course Tab for Learners
This guide explains how to enable or disable recommended courses across your platform and configure the default tab (either “Description” or “Content”) on the course details page. These settings help you personalize the learner experience and drive engagement by showing the most relevant content first.
The Recommended Courses feature lets you display related courses on the learner dashboard and below course pages. Follow the steps below to enable and configure this setting.
Step 1: Go to Catalog Settings
Click on 'Global Settings' and open 'Catalog Settings.'
Step 2: Enable Show Recommended Courses
Locate the Show Recommended Courses option. Choose Yes to display recommended courses:
-
On the learner dashboard
-
Below each course page
Choose 'No' if you don't want to show recommended courses to learners, and click 'Save.'
Recommended: Set this to Yes to boost course visibility and learner engagement.
When 'Yes' is selected, the courses will be displayed under 'Recommended Courses.'
Step 3: Set Default Course Details Tab
In the same 'Catalog Settings' section, find the 'Default Course Details Tab' dropdown.
Select one of the following:
-
Content: Displays course modules and lessons first.
