How to Upload a Thumbnail in Your Video Files

The thumbnail feature in Braincert LMS allows course creators to personalize the Course Player and Test Player with visually engaging images. This simple enhancement makes your course content more accessible and visually appealing to learners. Whether you're a course creator aiming to establish your brand identity or simply looking to add a personal touch to your course presentation. In this article, we’ll show you how to quickly upload your thumbnails and improve the overall experience for your learners.


Step 1: Video Thumbnail

To start upload your Video Thumbnail, Navigate to Products. Now, Click the Dropdown menu and Select 'Contents'.

You can add a Thumbnail to the existing Course and Tests.

Click the 'Select Files to Upload' to add Video Content from your File Explorer (or) other ways to Publish from Google drive, Box, Dropbox, Amazon Cloud Drive, FTP and more.

Step 2: Capture Frame for Thumbnail

  1. Play the Video Content and Click 'Capture Frame' to save the Video Image as a Thumbnail. Toggle on button to 'Enable DRM Feature' at top the Video.

  2. On the Left side, the Capture image is displayed. Tap the '+' Icon to add more Thumbnail Images as you created.
You Can Upload up to 5 Thumbnail Images for each Course Player and File Size Under 500 MB.

Step 3: Edit and Set Default Thumbnail

  1. Click 'Pencil' Icon to Rename Title of Your Thumbnail.
  2. Click 'More' option on the Preferred Captured Frame (or) uploaded Images, then Select 'set as default' and Additional Options Include: Download and Delete the Thumbnail if needed.

Step 4: Review Uploaded Thumbnail

This is an example of how the thumbnail appears in a video course content after it has been successfully uploaded.

Step 5: Promotional Video Thumbnail

Add the Thumbnail while creating a course in 'Advanced Settings'. The Thumbnail also appears in the Courses Promotional Video.

Step 6: Test Thumbnail in the Video Question

Here is an example of the page that appears after the thumbnail has been uploaded and displayed in the test player.
