With the Zoho CRM extension in BrainCert LMS, users can sync Zoho CRM profile fields to LMS list users. This article will guide you through the steps to sync Zoho CRM profile fields.

It all starts with registering your LMS domain at the Zoho API Console to receive your Client ID and Client Secret.

Important Terminologies

Client ID is a unique identifier you receive when you register your LMS with Zoho.
Client Secret is a unique key generated when you register your application with Zoho. This must be kept confidential.
Authorized redirect URI is a URI endpoint for client-based applications to which Zoho Accounts has to redirect the user-agent with the access token after authorizing the
client.
Client Type is the type of application you develop. BrainCert supports registering your LMS as a Server-based application, a Mobile-based application, or as a Self Client.

Registering Your LMS domain at Zoho API Dashboard as a Server-Based Application

Step 1:

Go to Zoho API Console, login to your Zoho account and click Get Started.



Step 2

Click Create Now under Server-based applications.



Step 3

Enter the Client Name, Homepage URL of your LMS Domain, and Authorized redirect URI and click Save.



To get the Authorized Redirect URL login to your LMS domain and navigate to the Zoho CRM extension under Extensions. Enable the extension & copy the Redirect URL.



Step 4

Copy the Client ID & Client Secret & paste it in the respective fields under the Zoho CRM extension in your LMS domain.





Click Save and you will receive a popup seeking confirmation to access information. Select Accept and then click Sync all Users. Your Zoho CRM profile fields will now be synced to LMS users.

Step 5

Go to Zoho API Console, login to your Zoho account and click Get Started.



Step 6

Click Create Now under Mobile-Based Applications.



Now repeat the steps 2, 3, and 4.

Step 7

Go to Zoho API Console, login to your Zoho account and click Get Started.



Step 8

Click Create Now under Self Client.



Step 9

Click on Create new self client and you give confirmation.





Step 10

Generate Scope code, set time duration, and enter scope description. To generate a scope code enter any one of these ZohoCRM.modules.all, ZohoCRM.contacts.ALL, ZohoCRM.users.ALL as the Scope. Click create.



Step 11

Once you click create, you will be redirected to the following screen. Select CRM as the portal, check Adaptor, and click on Create.



Step 12

Copy the generated scope code and paste in the respective field under the Zoho CRM extension in your LMS domain.



Step 13

Now copy the Client ID & Client Secret & paste it in the respective fields under the Zoho CRM extension in your LMS domain.





Step 14

Click save and then sync all users. Your Zoho CRM profile fields will now be synced to LMS users.
