Connections made to BrainCert WebRTC cloud across all global regions use the following TCP and UDP ports. If UDP port is blocked then calls will connect over TLS rather than the more efficient protocol UDP, which can lead to quality issues with video, audio and content sharing. It is important that firewall ports are opened to BrainCert servers. We have implemented technology to work if you are behind strict corporate firewalls and NAT environments. If you can't get the audio/video working inside virtual classroom, then most likely our IP is blocked by your firewall. For specific IP ranges of BrainCert's global Virtual Classroom servers, contact support.

Scoring open-ended questions manually

Open-ended questions are questions that allow someone to give a free-form answer in an essay type question. Closed-ended questions can be answered with “Yes” or “No,” or they have a limited set of possible answers (such as A, B, C, D, or multiple answer choices).

An open-ended question is designed to encourage a full, meaningful answer using the subject's own knowledge to the question. It is the opposite of a closed-ended question, which encourages a short or single-word answer. Open-ended questions also tend to be more objective and less leading than closed-ended questions.

BrainCert supports "Free text" and "Essay type" open-ended question types

Step 2:

Essay question type is not graded automatically. The final test score will be adjusted after the instructor finishes grading essay questions manually.

To grade a test with essay question type, go to the test report. Use the "Grade" option to review questions and score open-ended questions.

Step 3:

You can navigate to the questions with the "Not graded" status, and set question points and save the score. The question points are shown based on the weight set when creating questions. For example, in adaptive tests, if you set a question difficulty level as "3", then there will be a maximum 0-3 shown in the ques

With our new add-on Course Bundles feature you can easily create any number of courses and add it to the bundle with a special title and description. Also the created courses can be offered at a special price. This helps students to buy multiple courses simultaneously at a discounted price.

Find the steps below to create course bundles

Step 1 :

Login to your LMS dashboard with respective account credentials

Select course bundles under courses in the right hand side of the dashboard

Click create course bundles

Step 4 :

Give the name for your course bundle

Select the published courses in the course bundle

Choose the currency

Write the description for your course bundle and click save

You can always add live classes or recorded virtual classroom session to your courses with a click of a button.

Adding Live class :

Step 1:

Login to your Elearning Platform with your account credentials.

Step 2:

After creating your course, just go to “manage course” as shown below and click on the “more” option corresponding to the required course and click **“Add Live Class” **

Step 3 :

This will open a new page with the list of all the live classes under your account. Simply click "Add to course" to add the classes to your course. You can assign the same classes to multiple courses as well from the course options.

Adding recorded Virtual Classroom to course lectures:

Go to “Manage courses” and click on “Add course materials” which you can find under More option with respect to your course name as shown below

Contacting an instructor on BrainCert

BrainCert is a platform provider and we do not own the content. All the content offered on the BrainCert platform is owned by the instructor of the course, test and live class.

If you have purchased or enrolled in the course, test and live class from the marketplace, then you can go to the relevant landing page and look for the instructor's name and the mail icon next to the name. You can direct message them on BrainCert and track messages in your inbox.

For courses, the mail icon is available in the top header next to the instructor's name (below the course title).

For 'Paid' items, you can go to your "My Orders" page, and click on "Details" icon under Options column.

You'll see a popup with purchase details and click on the mail icon to send private message to the instructor.
